Active Foot Care, led by Dr. Alfred Sanginario, DPM, serves patients of all ages in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn, from infants through the geriatric population. Board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Sanginario also holds a hospital affiliation with Woodhull Medical Center, where he serves as an assistant clinical professor helping train future podiatric surgeons. The practice treats ingrown toenails, plantar warts, bunion deformities, hammertoes, Morton's neuroma, and plantar fasciitis with heel spur syndrome, working closely with primary care physicians and other specialists on each patient's treatment plan. Diagnostic and treatment options include in-office digital X-ray, custom and semi-custom orthotics, diabetic foot care to help prevent ulcers and infections, wound care, and surgical correction of foot disorders when conservative measures fall short. Weekend morning appointments are available by request, and Active Foot Care aims to help every patient leave feeling better than when they arrived.
