NYM Foot & Ankle Center, part of NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital's orthopedic department, provides foot and ankle care to patients throughout Park Slope and the greater Brooklyn area. The team addresses diabetes-related foot issues, ingrown toenails, nail fungus, plantar warts, neuromas, arthritis of the foot or ankle, flat feet and high arches, broken ankles, foot and ankle sprains and fractures, pediatric foot and ankle disorders, sports-related injuries, heel pain, bunions, and hammertoe deformities. Diagnostic and treatment options include medication, exercise, physical therapy, custom orthotics, and surgery, with outpatient procedures available at the hospital's Center for Community Health when surgical intervention is needed. As part of an academic medical center with roots reaching back more than 160 years in Brooklyn, the program draws on hospital-wide resources and multidisciplinary support to help patients return to the activities they enjoy while managing ongoing foot and ankle health.
