Stephen C. Smith, DPM leads Herd Podiatry in Williamsville and Buffalo, New York, having purchased the private practice of Cynthia Ferrelli, DPM. He first learned about podiatry when Dr. Ferrelli lectured at their shared alma mater, Canisius College, and later shadowed her at her practice before pursuing the field himself. Dr. Smith earned his podiatric medical degree at Kent State University, where Dr. Ferrelli had also studied when it was known as the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, and completed a three-year residency at Inspira Health Network in Vineland, New Jersey. The practice treats plantar fasciitis, foot pain, tendonitis, fungal nails, foot trauma, hammertoe and bunion deformities, and skin lesions such as fissures, dry skin, and warts, offering custom orthotics and minimally invasive surgery.
