Dr. Cailin Makar was born and raised in Niskayuna, New York, and attended Binghamton University, majoring in cellular and molecular biology and graduating with honors. She attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and graduated summa cum laude, then completed a three-year residency in podiatric medicine and surgery with an added credential in reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, serving as chief resident in her final year. She is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and practices as an associate at Mohawk Valley Podiatry in Schenectady, treating plantar fasciitis and heel pain, toenail fungus, ankle sprains, Achilles problems, plantar warts, and hammertoes.
