A Staten Island native, Dr. Szwaba trained at New York College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency at Northwell Staten Island University Hospital, serving as chief resident and gaining extensive experience in forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle reconstructive surgery and limb salvage. He went on to complete a yearlong wound care fellowship at NYC HHC Coney Island Hospital, where he built advanced expertise in wound care techniques and limb salvage procedures. Board certified through the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Szwaba holds attending privileges at both Northwell Staten Island University Hospital and Richmond University Medical Center.
