Specialty Foot and Ankle, led by Dr. Christopher J. Gauland, DPM, provides focused podiatric care from offices in Greenville and Kinston, North Carolina. Dr. Gauland specializes in advanced wound care and infection treatment, managing diabetic foot infections, post-surgical and traumatic wounds, osteomyelitis, and fracture-related infections, alongside limb salvage-oriented care. The practice also treats sprains, fractures, Charcot foot, heel pain, Achilles injuries, and sports-related foot and ankle conditions for patients of varying ages and activity levels. Dr. Gauland trained in biology and physiology at East Carolina University before earning his medical degree from Temple School of Podiatric Medicine, and he completed surgical residencies focused on limb salvage and complex wound management, including specialized training at the Diabetic Foot Center of Lake County, Illinois. He lectures nationally and internationally on foot and ankle infection, wound care, and limb salvage. A Greenville resident himself, Dr. Gauland brings that same community-minded, healing-focused approach to every patient he treats.
