James Smith, DPM, is a native of North Carolina who joined Pinehurst Foot Specialist in 2019. He graduated from Methodist University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, then earned his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Ohio. He completed a three-year Foot and Ankle Surgical Residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Outside of practice, Dr. Smith enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and classic cars. Pinehurst Foot Specialist treats plantar fasciitis, bunions, corns and calluses, fractures, toenail fungus, gout, hammertoes, ingrown toenails, neuromas, and neuropathy, offering foot and ankle surgery, diabetic foot care, and wound care.
