About Dr. Bessaliea Griffin

Dr. Bessaliea Griffin, a North Carolina native, leads Footprint Podiatry in Smithfield. She earned her undergraduate degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University before pursuing her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland. She completed an intensive three-year residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. Dr. Griffin is board eligible in Podiatric Surgery through the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the North Carolina Foot and Ankle Society. As the only podiatrist in the Smithfield area, she treats patients of all ages, treating Achilles problems, ankle sprains, arthritis, bunions, and fractures, offering diabetic foot care and foot and ankle surgery.
