Chad B. Carlson, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery who has practiced at The Bone & Joint Center since 2011, seeing patients in Bismarck and Minot, North Dakota. He treats common and complex foot and ankle problems, including ankle arthroplasty and replacement, bunions, hammertoes, painful flat feet, diabetic foot reconstruction, sports injuries, and complex deformity, using both arthroscopic and open surgical techniques as well as nonsurgical management. A North Dakota native trained at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine, Dr. Carlson completed his orthopedic residency in Grand Rapids, Michigan and a foot and ankle fellowship in Orange County, California. He is frequently consulted for second opinions on prior surgical interventions and also treats knee and traumatic upper- and lower-extremity injuries as part of the practice's broader orthopedic offerings.
