Foot and Ankle Institute, directed by Jon D. Oliverio, DPM, has provided podiatric care to the Norton and New Philadelphia, Ohio areas since starting private practice in 1995. A Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American College of Certified Wound Specialists, Dr. Oliverio has also served as director of wound management programs at area hospitals. The practice treats bunions, hammertoes, ingrown toenails, diabetic foot conditions, fungal toenails, heel spurs and plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon problems, ankle instability and sprains, arthritic foot and ankle pain, flat feet, corns and calluses, neuromas, neuropathy, warts, and fractures, using options that range from customized shoe inserts to advanced laser treatment, extracorporeal shockwave therapy, and Lapiplasty bunionectomy. Dr. Oliverio is active in training podiatric residents and has volunteered with a local free clinic while maintaining hospital affiliations across several regional health systems.
