Greater Pittsburgh Foot & Ankle Center is led by William T. DeCarbo, DPM, FACFAS, a board-certified foot, reconstructive rearfoot, and ankle surgeon serving Wexford, Pennsylvania and the surrounding South Hills of Pittsburgh. A fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Dr. DeCarbo completed a podiatric surgical residency at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center and a fellowship in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery in Columbus, Ohio, along with additional training in Washington, D.C., Switzerland, and Germany. The practice treats Achilles tendon injuries, bunions, hammertoe, flatfoot, arthritis, heel pain, and foot and ankle fractures, offering custom orthotics, physical therapy, and surgical repair when conservative care isn't enough. Dr. DeCarbo has a particular interest in 3D bunion correction using the Lapiplasty system, in which he serves as a design surgeon, as well as advanced reconstructive surgery, external fixation, and total joint replacement. He also provides sports medicine care and Class IV laser therapy for patients throughout the Pittsburgh area.
