Rhode Island Foot and Ankle, Inc., operating as the Center for Heel Pain, has served Cranston-area patients since 1993, moving to its current, larger facility in 2011 to accommodate a growing patient base. Founder John A. Volpe, DPM, FACFAS, leads a team that includes Ethan Pais and Victoria Lellis, all trained in both surgical and conservative management of foot and ankle conditions such as bunions, ankle sprains, heel pain, ingrown toenails, flatfoot deformities, fractures, arthritis, and hammertoes. Shockwave therapy is offered for achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, and general arch pain, and the office provides custom orthotics built from three-dimensional digital foot images along with braces and a Medicare diabetic shoe program. Onsite X-rays and licensed physical therapists support diagnosis and rehabilitation without the need for outside referrals. The practice offers prompt scheduling with same-day appointments when needed and accepts Medicare alongside a range of HMO and PPO plans.
