Wiles Foot & Ankle opened in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2019, when Dr. Michael Wiles set out on his own after more than a decade treating patients in the area. The practice covers an unusually wide span of foot and ankle issues, including arthritis, bunions and hammertoes, fractures and sprains, Morton's neuroma, nail disorders, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, Charcot foot, gout, flat feet, high arches, and diabetic complications such as neuropathy and ulcers, diagnosing each through gait analysis and hands-on exams. Treatment options include ankle-foot orthoses, bracing, casting for fractures, custom orthotic inserts, and conservative therapies aimed at avoiding surgery when possible, alongside support for athletes and active patients dealing with sports-related strain and overuse injuries. Dr. Wiles, a Des Moines University graduate who completed his surgical residency in Michigan, built the practice with his wife, drawing on her hospital experience to create what the couple describes as an efficient podiatric experience for the Chattanooga and North Georgia region.
