Volunteer Podiatry traces its roots to Sandberg Foot Health Center, founded in Knoxville in 1997, and today operates under its current name across four East Tennessee locations, including offices at Parkwest Medical Center, Fort Sanders, Farragut, and the University of Tennessee Medical Center. A team of podiatrists, including Dr. David Sandberg, Dr. Heather Sandberg, Dr. Dagon Percer, Dr. Kyler Thomas, Dr. Aneta Sokolowska, and Dr. Brady Anderson, provides both conservative and surgical treatment for lower extremity conditions. Services include Lapiplasty, a minimally invasive procedure that corrects bunions at their root, along with general minimally invasive surgical techniques, Achilles tendonitis treatment, ankle instability and sprain care, and management of arthritic foot and ankle conditions. Same-day availability is offered for acute injuries such as ankle fractures, so patients experiencing sudden pain can typically be seen quickly at one of the group's Knoxville-area offices.
