Kathren D. McCarty, DPM has served the San Antonio and Schertz communities since 2008 and now practices as a board-certified podiatric foot and ankle surgeon with Ortho San Antonio. A Barry University graduate who completed extensive residency training at UT Health San Antonio, she has performed thousands of procedures and is trained in the latest internal and external fixation, minimally invasive techniques, and arthroscopy, generally exhausting conservative options before recommending surgery. Dr. McCarty's areas of focus include ankle sprains and instability, sports injuries, foot and ankle fractures, arthritis, heel pain, bunions, diabetic and Charcot foot, tarsal tunnel syndrome, Morton's neuroma, flatfeet, foot ulcers, Achilles tendon repair, peripheral neuropathy, plantar fasciitis, limb salvage, hammertoe, and ingrown toenails.
