Born in Hong Kong and raised in Torrance, California, she attended the University of California, Los Angeles, majoring in molecular, cell, and developmental biology, then completed her medical education at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois. She practices with Texas Orthopedic and Spine Associates in Dallas, Texas, alongside Dr. Tatiana Boyko, Dr. Bruce Prager, and Dr. Ahmed Moussa.
