Premier Foot & Ankle Specialist of Texas serves the El Paso community under the direction of Dr. Elizabeth Fernandez, a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon and El Paso native who trained in Miami before returning home to open her own practice. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she favors a conservative, surgery-as-a-last-resort philosophy, working to educate patients so they can make informed decisions about their own care. The practice addresses a broad spectrum of podiatric concerns, including Achilles tendon injuries, chronic and acute ankle pain, fractures and sprains, arthritic and diabetic foot complications, bunions, hammertoes, ingrown toenails, plantar warts, flat feet, and corns, along with pediatric foot care and wound management. When conservative measures fall short, surgical treatment is available. The office maintains affiliations with several El Paso-area hospitals and accepts most major insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid, along with a wide range of private carriers.
