About Dr. Onya Lemar

Lemar Foot & Ankle Institute in Houston is led by Dr. Onya Lemar, a graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine who completed a three-year reconstructive foot and ankle surgery and limb salvage residency in Houston, serving as chief resident. She spent much of her training in orthopedic, vascular, and bariatric surgery and has extensive experience in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery, complex diabetic limb salvage, and limb deformity correction, alongside a strong professional interest in sports medicine. Dr. Lemar is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is pursuing additional certification in foot and rearfoot/ankle surgery through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, and she holds certification in wound care and hyperbaric oxygen treatment of the foot and ankle. A native of New Orleans and graduate of Louisiana State University, she is an active member of several podiatric professional associations and also serves as clinical faculty training podiatric residents in the Houston area.
