Pan Acea Foot Center, PA, serves Houston's Chinatown and Highway 6 communities under Dr. Simon Pan, who graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1996 and is a fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association. Before turning to podiatry, Dr. Pan worked as a mechanical and aeronautical engineer, an unusual background he brings to his methodical approach to foot care. The practice treats bunion and hammertoe deformities, flat feet, ingrown toenails, heel pain and plantar fasciitis, fungal nails, warts, gout, calluses, neuromas, and ankle sprains, along with fractures and chronic wounds. Diabetic and dysvascular foot care is a particular focus, and custom orthotics are available for biomechanical support. Dr. Pan's treatment philosophy favors conservative and medical management, turning to surgery only after other options are exhausted, and the bilingual staff communicates in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Vietnamese to serve the practice's diverse patient community.
