About Dr. James Kent
Dr. James Kent, a native Texan born in Amarillo, graduated with honors from Rankin High School before attending Texas A&M University in College Station, where he earned a degree in biology and chemistry while staying active in church, student government, and intramural sports. He went on to the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio to work on a Master's degree in biomedical science, enrolling alongside medical students and working in a colon cancer research lab. Dr. Kent has completed extensive training with the AMIFAS to obtain certification in minimally invasive surgery, which he now performs in-office at East Texas Foot and Ankle Centers in Tyler, treating Achilles problems, bunions, hammertoes, and plantar fasciitis.
