Family Foot and Ankle Care has served Oak Harbor, Washington and the surrounding Island, Skagit, and San Juan county communities since Dr. Jon R. Tiessen established the practice in 2004. The clinic treats patients ranging from children to older adults, with a focus on complete, comprehensive foot and ankle care delivered in a relaxed, family-oriented setting. Services include custom orthotics, diabetic foot care, dermatology of the foot, surgical repair, trauma care, prosthetics, and sports medicine, along with rehabilitation support built around each patient's biomechanics. Dr. Tiessen's wife, Lori, a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator, works alongside him to support patients managing diabetes-related foot concerns. The practice coordinates with referring physicians and other community providers to build thorough treatment plans from diagnosis through recovery, and it has grown over the years primarily through patient referrals and word of mouth.
