Dr. Michael M. Cohen obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Houston in 1980, then acquired his medical degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco in 1984. He completed his surgical residency at Jerry L. Pettis Memorial Hospital in Loma Linda, California, and was hired immediately out of residency as director of residency training and chief of podiatry at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Miami, where he remains as acting chief of podiatry surgery. He received an honorary Doctorate of Laws from Barry University in 2004 and completed a mini-fellowship in peripheral nerve surgery with Dr. A. Lee Dellon at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Cohen has authored multiple publications in orthopedic and podiatric peer-reviewed journals, practicing with Foot, Ankle, & Leg Specialists in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
