Dr. Steven Effren was born in Orlando and spent much of his youth in Orangeburg, New York and the greater Fort Lauderdale area. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida, then completed his podiatric training in 1998 at Barry University in Miami, graduating with honors, followed by his surgical residency at JFK Medical Center in the Palm Beach area with a focus on trauma and reconstructive surgery. He has practiced at Live Oak Foot & Ankle since 2000. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, and a board-certified Fellow of the Academy of Physicians in Wound Healing, treating bunions in Summerfield, Florida, offering custom orthotics, regenerative medicine, and wound care.
