About Uyen K. Dao, DPM

Dr. Uyen Kim Dao, DPM, grew up in the Orlando, Florida area and practices at Live Oak Foot & Ankle, with offices in Ocala and Summerfield, Florida, alongside her husband Dr. Steven Effren. She received her undergraduate degree in microbiology from the University of Florida in 1994 and earned her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine in 1998 from Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Dao completed her surgical residency at the Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Health Care System hospital in Tucson, Arizona, before returning to Central Florida to practice podiatric medicine. She has extensive experience working in skilled nursing homes and assisted and independent living facilities, and her practice focuses on general podiatry, geriatric care, diabetic foot care, and wound care. Dr. Dao is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Florida Podiatric Medical Association.
