A proud Metro Detroit native, Dr. Samuel Austin was raised in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, and practices with Epic Foot & Ankle in the Dearborn area. He graduated from De La Salle Collegiate High School before earning a degree in Human Biology from Michigan State University, then continued his education at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in North Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Austin completed an intensive surgical residency at Ascension Providence Hospital in Southfield-Novi, Michigan, specializing in rearfoot and ankle reconstruction, limb salvage, and trauma, earning the title of chief resident in his final year. He is board certified in both Foot Surgery and Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery, and serves as a board certification examiner. His clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery, sports medicine, limb salvage, trauma care, and pediatric podiatry.
